This role involved me conducting WHS Assurance activities for the Asset Management Contractors and construction contractors that were engaged to build and maintain social housing in NSW. Specific area of achievement included the following; I provided WHS assurance and oversight for over 100 contractors under the AMS WHS Contractor Mangement Program and Delivery Division. This ensured the required WHS deliverables were reported to Executive Directors and the Audit and Risk Committee in the required timeframes.

I was responsible for providing WHS advice and completing the required WHS activities to ensure Care agencies and residential communitie that were responsible for caring for the elderly and people with disabilities in the community meet the required WHS compliance activities as required by the legislation. Areas of specialisation include manual handling, contractor management and workplace violence. Specific areas of achievement included the following:*All assigned WHS Audits and corrective actions were conducted and closed out in the required timeframes.*All notifiable incidents were investigated, actioned and closed out in the required timeframes.*All WHS high risk procedures and safe work instructions were updated in accordance with legislative reqirements.* I facilitated over 10 risk workshops to ensure all WHS high risks relating to issues such as workplace violence, and manual handling in the management of people with complex care needs, were risk assessed and managed through the implementation of safe and sustained controls.

My work involved implementing WHS Compliance activities in areas such as Facilities Management, Capital Work Program and Events Management tin high risk public areas such as The Rocks and Darling Harbour to ensure the safety of workers, contactors and members of the public. Specific areas of achievment included the following;*Developed and managed the implementation of a Safety Management System into the organization within 6 months.*Implemented a online WHS Contractor Reporting and Induction System within 6 months to ensure all contractors were able to access an ontime WHS site induction and for the Facilities Managers to have oversight of contractor compliance for the facilities they were managing.*Facilitated a design WHS risk workshops for marine structures and arranged for complex risk assessments for falls in the water in public areas to be conducted. To ensure risks such as falls in the water were controlled in safe and sustained manner.*Established and implemented a WHS Memorandum of Understanding with other agencies for the management of shared responsibilities in public spaces such as Darling Harbour and The Rocks.*Provided safety advice on the access and work around heritage structures such as Pyrmont Bridge.*Assisted with the implemented and WHS review of a third party facilities management system that was responsible for the management and audit of facilities maintenance of all NSW properties across the state,

Projects Division was the Division of Sydney Trains (formally RailCorp) responsible for the delivery of construction projects in the Rail Corridor.
