Senior Communications Professional
In this role, I was part of the global IBM Research Communications function and held responsibilities for media relations as well as internal and executive communications activities and events at IBM Research - Zurich, with both local and global impact. In addition, I managed communication and marketing activities at the IBM Research Think Lab - Zurich, an IBM Innovation Studio, where we inspire our clients and jointly explore the implications and possibilities of digitization with them. The Think Lab is co-located at the Zurich Research lab in Rüschlikon and a unique place for our clients in Europe to experience the depth and breadth of IBM Research and pick the brains of IBM scientists. My work included strategic communication planning as well as execution, i.e. the creation and communication of press releases and press materials (including photos, videos, handouts, fact sheets, social media messaging), handling of press requests, the creation of Intranet content, contributions to IBM Research social media channels, event planning and coordination, communications council, executive communications support for the VP and Director of IBM Research Europe as well as communications council to Senior Researchers and Department Heads, tight collaboration with IBM's European and global communications, brand systems and marketing teams.
