As a Research Associate I gained a wide range of valuable experiences which included conducting scientific experiments, greenhouse management, and crop management. My duties allowed me to become familiar with the operation of cutting-edge equipment, as well as, more traditional tools of the trade. My experiences here also gave me a unique insight into weed and pest management, alternative agricultural practices, and the importance of scientific procedure.

I was a paid intern and member of the cultivation team. As an Assistant Grower I learned cultivation practices from my supervisor and head grower, and gained experience in greenhouse management. We cultivated cannabis using both traditional and hydroponic methods providing me with valuable experience. Activities included following nutrient cycle protocols, maintaining records of feeding cycles, conducting cloning and transplanting operations, and constructing new hydroponic and irrigation setups. We also assisted the processing team with storing, processing, and packaging operations.

Served as a SSG, 19D Cavalry Scout with the following units;o Fort Stewart, Georgia A Troop 5-7 Cav 3ID from June 2006 to June 2009. I acted as instructor for field exercises, commanded a gun truck crew of four, and oversaw all vehicle maintenance for the platoon.o Hohenfels, Germany 1-4 Infantry from July 2009 to July 2011. I helped train NATO forces through pre-deployment exercises, planned and oversaw combat simulations, organized and conducted range operations, and ran company drug testing program.o Patrick AFB, Florida Tampa Recruiting Battalion from August 2011 to September 2014. Here I conducted recruiting operations, oversaw training program for 132 future soldiers, supported local JROTC programs, and volunteer at annual JROTC summer camps.o Fort Wainwright, Ak 5-1 Cav from Oct 2014 to June 2016. Here I conducted training and range operations while I transitioned out of the Army.
