Develop, implement, manage and monitor the ESD strategy and development programmes for Sasol's ESD suppliers.Oversee the development of SMME suppliers to deliver products and services and to achieve long-term sustainable financial and operational independence.Manage the Secunda Small Business Centre to ensure safety of occupants and deliver on effective operations.Ensure effective support to existing suppliers through supplier development programmes.Monitor compliance to the ESD element of the B-BBEE codes of good practice and requirements of the Mining Charter.Enable supply chain to meets its preferential procurement targets.Manage contracted service providers to ensure effective delivery on programmes.Oversee staff and activities within the ESD function in the Secunda region.

• Mange the escalation resolution for services and goods, and the interface with the BU into key procurement and functional core stakeholders.• Monthly communication of the BU on spends for goods and services, inventory investment, progress on new contracts and governance issues.• Promote continuous increase in on-contract purchases and reduce free text purchases.• Participate in the development and implementation of supply chain functional strategies and policies.• Supports cost savings initiatives of the inbound supply chain and drive down cost below PPI.• Manage and train end-users with regards to PtP process. Trend analysis of health checks and forecasting accuracy.• Oversee the execution of expediting and procurement administration activities.• Interface with category management on roll out of contracts and participate in development of sourcing strategy.• Continuously enforce procurement policies to promote standardization.• Support facilitated scope of work and scope of work quality.• Ensure demand planning and supply chain execution plan are aligned to ensure satisfactory service delivery.

• Analyse current procedures and activities to identify and present opportunities for improvement of the workshop or production floor• Ensure that the department is adequately staffed to achieve objectives, and that technicians are well trained and aware of procedures for the correct installation of accessories to vehicles in order to facilitate the on-time delivery• Facilitate the orientation of new team members by familiarising them with work surroundings, explaining work hours, procedures, use of equipment and job expectations and ensure that new team members understand their respective duties.• Maintain good relationships with customers and suppliers.• Ensure adequate maintenance of tools, equipment and other materials.• Facilitate the training and development of team members in the department.• Evaluate the impact of work delays, interruptions or changes in plans to develop appropriate course of actions.• Monitor work-flow to anticipate impact of delays due to team members being absent for leaves, holidays or sickness and avoid safety incidents.• Review customer production requirements and inspect the quality of the work before the release to the yard management provider.• Plan and adjust the workloads (line balancing) of department to ensure that customer requirements are met.
