I used Trimble GPS equipment to map utilities and environmental data to sub-centimeter accuracy. I was working with GIS analysts to update our geodatabase to accurately reflect the geolocation and attribution of all infrastructure on Fort Carson while administrating a building inventory with the planning department. I also aided environmental staff in managing water rights by creating topographical maps of reservoirs using rover and scanner technology.

I managed invasive plants at Fort Worden State Park via ArcGIS mapping and manual removal. I developed and lead multiple interpretive programs, in addition to restarting the park's Junior Ranger program, that educated the public about environmental issues and the park's history.

I independently completed a suitability analysis of potential conservation land in and around the Seabrook-Hamptons estuary in an effort to inform local Conservation Commissions' acquisition efforts. Suitability was largely driven by sea-level rise scenarios and the environmental services of each parcel. The results of the research, which included Excel spreadsheets and ArcGIS maps, were presented to each town's conservation commission.

I monitored upwards of 60 conservation land parcels according to best practices and drafted reports about them for the Hampton Conservation Commission. I employed Garmin GPS for surveying the parcels and highlighting key features, and a local GIS platform to plan site visits. The results of the reports included information about land use, disturbances, human alterations, etc.

I researched the potential of using an endemic Kauri snail as a bioindicator for forest restoration. Fieldwork included daily quadrat surveys, nightly transect surveys, and tracking tunnels. I reported findings and presented the research results and their implications to various local stakeholders.

I assisted in collecting data for a two-part thesis revolving around the impacts of terrestrial non-native invasive plants in riparian zones. Fieldwork documented broad indicators such as forest structure, plant diversity, stream habitat, and soil type.Research Part 1: My supervisor and I analyzed the impact of replanting efforts on the establishment of non-native plants along disturbed floodplains of the White River, VT.Research Part 2: We surveyed headwater streams in the White Mountains, NH for the presence of non-native invasive plants and determined the impact of riparian-adjacent land uses on the diversity of non-native invasive plants.

I lead trips from winter backpacking to paddleboarding and always employed acute group management and sound risk assessment decision-making. I also completed a semester's worth of skills-based training to be hired onto this accredited outfitter.

I taught youth of various ages and abilities how to kayak while creating a safe and fun atmosphere on the water. I was simultaneously responsible for co-managing a cabin of campers.
