In December 2023, my previous employer, Partek Inc, was acquired by Illumina. Now Partek continues to function as a new department of Illumina.

My job is to keep updated on the state-of-the-art quantitative methods developed in Biostatistics / Bioinformatics communities. Thanks to my deep knowledge of quantitative analysis, I am often able to come up with new features to improve the original recipe and/or to spot bugs in its methodology and implementation. I also have a say in deciding whether a new instrument adds enough practical value to become commercial software. If the answer is yes, I proceed to implementation using such tools as R, Python, C++ and Java.

● Consult individuals, such as graduate students, who need assistance with the quantitative modeling part of their projects● Attain certifications in SAS (Certified Advanced Programmer) and C++ (Brainbench, 98%)

● Pre-process large amounts of raw data (from Bloomberg and other providers) to produce inputs suitable for quantitative analysis● Perform Interest Rate & Equity Model calibration and validation● Generate quantitative scenarios for multiple country units for the purpose of pricing a wide range of financial products● Create the necessary software tools in Excel VBA and R● Passed Exam P (Probability) of Society of Actuaries

★ Statistical Consultant● Provide professional consulting in Applied Statistics, Design of Experiment, Quality Control, and other Data Analytics areas● Analyze initial problem statements to proceed with model building, diagnostics, validation, and visualization of findings● Maintain feedback with clients, superiors and co-workers to ensure high quality of consulting ● Document the client-consultant interaction process for the record★ Teaching Assistant● Assist undergraduate students of Statistics with SAS and SPSS during lab hours● Continuously interact with students, fellow TAs (peer mentoring) and course instructors to improve teaching efficiency

● Perform data extraction (Bloomberg), followed by advanced time series model building● Create financial and general purpose applications in Matlab and Excel VBA

● Develop regression models for performance evaluation of money managers and hedging of the fund’s positions● Contribute to WR asset allocation strategy● Train staff to implement the developed methodology
