The Center for Better Aging is one of the State of Illinois Healthcare Transformation Collaboratives whose goal is to reorie​nt the healthcare delivery system in Illinois around people and communities. The transformation plans focus on four key areas: Community Needs, Health and Wellness, Specialized Approaches and Sustainable Investments.The Center for Better Aging (CBA) mission is to transform health outcomes and reduce disparities for older adults on Chicago’s South Side by delivering whole person care designed to improve their health, wellbeing, and ability to age with independence. The organization seeks to create a sustainable Center for Better Aging that will improve equity and outcomes for older adults on the South Side.

Project Lead for EHNAC Privacy & Security Certification. Analyze, update, and modify procedures and processes to continually improve operations. Coordinate/support program implementation activities such as pre-delegation audits, annual audits, other contractual/regulatory audits, and reporting requirements as required. Document, develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions through identification and mitigation of risks. Lead and participate in multiple cross-departmental projects by completing and updating documentation; managing project scope; determining daily priorities; ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones; and following proper escalation paths. Identify improvement opportunities (proactive and reactive). Monitor and analyze outcomes to ensure goals, objectives, outcomes, accreditation, contractual, and regulatory requirements are met.

Work with Vice President of Clinical Quality and Informatics, VP of Operations and VP of Care Management to collaborate on creating or revising policies, standard operating procedures, and program descriptions along with assisting in prepping and finalizing documents needed for Pre-delegation Audits with new Clients. Document, develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions. Identify training needs to meet quality standards. Support on-site audits conducted by external providers.

Responding to final Claims inquiries and monitoring of general inbox triaging former Member and Provider inquiries in Company's wind-down. Additionally assisting in coordinating any final Compliance ad-hoc reports and deliverables.

Led final remediation activities for the Plan’s 2016 Administrative and Readiness Review including revision and creation of policies and procedures, coordinating cross-functional work teams and collection and submission of required documentation to the State’s External Quality Review Organization (EQRO), Health Service Advisory Group (HSAG), resulting in a final score increase from 84% to 98%. Responsible for filing appropriate Medicaid compliance reports with regulatory agencies, maintaining organizational documentation and serving as lead liaison. Project manage all quarterly and annual compliance audits which includes gathering documentation, book marking policies and program descriptions for auditor review, submitting within required timelines and coordinating any follow up or remediation requests.

Ronald McDonald House Charities provides a 'home away from home' to keep families together while their child is in the hospital. Every night, the Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana Chapter can provide 153 families with a place of comfort, compassion and community. Located near Chicago's premier pediatric medical institutions, families eat, sleep and find emotional support just blocks from where their child is being treated. In 2016, over 43,000 stay-nights will be provided to families in crisis. No family is ever turned away if they are unable to make a donation toward their stay.Served as departmental Director for both Family Care and Community Engagement Departments, reporting directly to House Director. As Family Care Director, was responsible for ensuring care and comfort to families in crisis while maximizing occupancy of the 95 room facility. Occupancy consistently increased every year and remained above optimal levels while number of families turned away was regularly minimized. Responsible for establishing protocols and building effective relationships with hospital departments to maintain safety and security of guest families.As Community Engagement Director, was responsible for stewardship and recruitment of new donors through stewardship strategies and House events. Oversaw all aspects of volunteer engagement including recruitment, orientation and retention. Developed and maintained a healthy volunteer program that provided 500 active scheduled volunteer shifts and episodic volunteer opportunities (one-time group opportunities) for approximately 700 additional volunteers annually.
