As a Client Service Representative at a Veterinary Hospital, I have a lot of responsibilities. I schedule patients with the appropriate specialists, take incoming calls, and check in clients as they come in. I am responsible for taking payments and contacting clients regarding outstanding balances. I document all client correspondence and file client-patient information appropriately. Perhaps the most crucial role is acting as a shoulder to cry on during moments of emotional distress for those who are losing members of their family. This position requires quite a bit of empathy and compassion especially during a euthanasia or other difficult decision. I also have experience in the handling and care of our deceased patients before they are transported to a nearby crematorium or taken by their owner for home burial.

As a Member Service Lead, I got my first real taste of what it is like to work in management. I was responsible for a decent sized team of twenty to thirty people. I had to handle any issues in schedules or availability as well as disciplinary action and delegation of tasks. I was also responsible for maintaining my section through soft inventory checks and daily cleaning. Through this position, I gained crucial experience in cash handling and accounting. This gave me new knowledge on loss management. I also gained more experience in customer satisfaction working as the frontline for any concerns.

Being a Shift Lead for a major fast food corporation gave me experience in handling and executing multiple tasks in a short time frame. I was responsible for ensuring every order went out quickly and smoothly while managing a small team. I handled cash counts, quality checks, and item inventory.

As a Secretary my main duties were to answer phones, greet customers, and take any payments. I was responsible for first contact with customers and obtaining any information needed from them. It gave me a lot of experience in a clerical setting, leading to greater comfort in computer and phone communication.
