I am a Wyoming-ite in every sense of the word, born and raised. It’s a place where you can breathe deeply (the air is clean) and drive for hours with no cell phone reception (not always a bad thing). I am lucky enough to call Wyoming home!As a little kid, I was sure that I would be some fabulous combination of marine biologist, archaeologist and general all-around explorer! However, as I grew that sense of endless possibilities dwindled ever so slightly. I hoped that I would find my calling along the way as I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Looking back, I can see that it was all part of the path that would lead me to NU Locating. Now, I can’t go much farther without telling you how I got into utility locating and ground penetrating radar. It was actually all my husband’s idea! He noticed the need for private utility locating in Wyoming, and one evening I put on my business hat and made him pitch me the idea. . . it was a no brainer! NU Locating has been in operation now for just over 5 years, and I get to call myself an “Experienced Utility Locator and Ground Penetrating Radar Professional “. I have the privilege of working in some of the most unique settings with many of the most incredible people. From mountain tops paving the way for communications towers to irrigation tunnels 80-100 feet beneath the surface playing a role in maintaining critical water systems for our local communities. And the most exciting thing to date? Growing NU Locating into a team that is capable of so much more than the limited scope achievable by a “one-man-show”.
