• Led research regarding design improvement and optimisation of an industrial globe valve using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations to mitigate valve leakage and passing• Joint collaboration between Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, PETRONAS Chemicals Fertiliser Kedah Sdn Bhd and University of LeedsKey Achievements: • Critically identified design flaw within the valve geometry that results in high pressure spots causing premature wear and tear on vital internal parts using software simulations• Successfully manufactured an intelligent valve prototype using metal additive manufacturing with early detection sensors to allow continuous valve monitoring in operation

Undergoing 8 months of industrial internship at PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd. as a Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) engineer. Obtained knowledge and hands-on experience on CBM programs and technologies such as equipment basic care, IR thermography, vibration monitoring, valve passing detection, gas loss of containment inspection, motion amplification technology and lube oil analysis.
