As an ambassador, I do the following: - Represent the Materials Science and Engineering department at college fairs, information sessions, visitation programs, and industry/alumni events.- Provide department tours and lead information sessions for prospective students and families and assist with outreach activities and community events.- Organize and support social activities that improve the student experience and provide input in curriculum development.

Helped with the design and execution of research projects regarding the creation of new materials as well as gain the relevant skills required to conduct instrumentation.Included the use of 3D Printing to design new experiment apparatuses as well as prototyping. Current Instruments Used: - Horiba Raman Confocal Microscope- Jeol SEM- Rigaku XRD

Helped provide customer service as well as directions for events at PNC arena such as NCSU Basketball, Carolina Hurricanes, and Concerts.Included giving directions, addressing concerns, as well as aiding the smooth flow of traffic into and out of the arenaGained experience on working with a team as well as solving issues presented by customers.

Helped with database management as well as the acquisition of information of company assets through physical documentation as well as transportation of data from one platform to another. Additionally further helped to document HPLC inventory with a focus on preventative maintenance. Learned how to conduct preventative maintenance on the Agilent HPLC instrument and gained exposure to the philosophy of metrology, instrumentation and laboratory safety.
