- Tech Lead assignments in R&D projects related to various Power Plant components such as Capacitor Banks, STATCOM, Synchronous Condensers, Photovoltaic, Wind Power Plants (Onshore and Offshore), Battery Energy Storage, Power-to-X and Off-Grid solutions;- Establishing project specifications and technical direction; - Guiding team members with troubleshooting technical issues.

- Simulation and analysis of smart grids with renewable energy sources in the scope of competitivemarkets, using a multi-agent based approach;- Development of a framework and a methodology to estimate the possible states of Electric Vehicles,regarding their location and the periods of connection to the grid. A Monte Carlo Simulation isdeveloped and implemented to estimate the probability of occurrence of these states and a Fuzzy-Logic probabilistic approach is used to characterize the uncertainty of EVs' demand;- Solve energy resource management problem on power systems and microgrids with implementation of artificial intelligence techniques (meta-heuristics): Particle Swarm Optimization, Multi-ObjectiveParticle Swarm Optimization and Non Sorting Genetic Algorithm II. Use of advanced optimizationsoftware packages for optimization purposes and meta-heuristics comparison.

DREAM-GO Project:- DREAM-GO puts together research teams from the EU and US thus taking advantage of USexperience in demand response;-Teaming up academic partners with pioneer work in smart grid management and non-academicpartners (SMEs) with the required know how and infrastructure to jointly produce relevantadvancements in the state of the art.- Create a framework with the required methods and solutions to facilitate the adoption of the results in final applications, by providing grounded scientific knowledge to possible pathways for future implementation of a more efficient smart grid system in the EU.

ELECON project:-Establishment of a competent and fruitful network between European and Brazilian researcherswhose research work contributes to the successful implementation of the smart grid concept;-Production and dissemination of core scientific knowledge and "know-how" between Europe andBrazil;-Undertaking benchmarking studies involving European and Brazilian case studies with real electricityconsumption and power system real data;-Establishment of strong basis for future collaborations and scientific activities.
