As a dermatology nurse practitioner I managed patients with a variety of skin, hair and nail disorders. I performed procedures such as skin biopsies, minor skin surgeries and all other standard dermatology treatments under the direction of my collaborating physician. I have been a member of the Dermatology Nurses Association since 2007 and a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants since January 2015. I enjoy the multidisciplinary approach of treating patients in today's healthcare system and feel that it provides the highest quality of care while improving access to medical treatment. I am a supporter of continued education and have been an active member of the Dermatology Nurses Association's Educational Committee since June 2013. I attend national dermatology conferences on an annual basis and have been a preceptor to nurse practitioner students since 2008. I have also been a guest lecturer at both medical residency and nursing programs within the Community Health Network in recent years. I feel that giving back to the nursing community is one of my most important professional responsibilities.

As a clinical research coordinator I was responsible for managing and coordinating dermatology related clinical trials and registries, primarily related to psoriasis and biologic treatments for psoriasis. I maintained communication and correspondence with subjects, sponsors, monitors and other site study personnel.
