I was brought in to set up the investment side of the office in London and provide advice on a global multi-asset portfolio. I oversaw asset allocation and investment strategy across equity, FI, FX, commodities, and alternatives, seeking robust returns in a liquid portfolio and using hedging products to mitigate risk. I also provided quarterly and annual market reports as well as regular performance reviews and carried out due diligence on hundreds of long-only and hedge fund managers.

I achieved rare promotion to leadership at a young age based on my proven technical abilities in risk mitigation for clients, as well as excellent relationship management skills. I led growth in client business and revenues, managing a team of five specialists and ensuring we acted in the best interests of our customers to deliver sustained success while delivering profitability and deal flows. I coordinated interaction with 23 regional centres who owned the relationships with SME and large corporates, frequently travelling to client meetings to offer product and strategy expertise, especially in the hedging of risk exposures.

I was headhunted for this Sales role creating bespoke product solutions for corporate clients. I undertook extensive travel to client meetings with Relationship Managers to develop business, leveraging my ability to generate ideas, and gained a detailed grasp of more complex derivative products across interest rates, foreign exchange and fixed income.

Following an internship on the Lisbon trading floor, working on the Corporate Desk with flow products, I was recruited to a Product Specialist Sales role and tasked with offering hedging solutions to corporate clients across Portugal.
