I’ve been involved in the development and usage of the company’s internal products and projects in the fields of e-commerce, ticketing, access control and content management using technologies such as C# and ASP.NET MVC, HTML, Javascript, Wordpress and PHP (amongst others). The company also has enjoyed longstanding relationships with partners that regularly outsource our team to add new features to their software solutions for time and attendance systems. My role in these started out as a QA Analyst, responsible for reviewing the requirements of each new feature/functionality to be added and come up with extensive test plans with detailed test cases that I would then perform during and after development. Lately, I have taken up a more active role as a Web Developer for these, coming up with the requirements of new/desired features and responsible for their development.Bluetrend also has its Quality and Information Security Management Systems certified according to the NP EN ISO 9001:2015 and ISO / IEC 27001:2013 standards. I have played an active role in the company’s internal and external audits performed by the certification company and received training regarding the NP EN ISO 9001:2015 standard, management and control of documented information, GDPR and internal audits.

Development of a database and online platform for veterinary medicine aiming to store and facilitate the access to imaging and biochemical data from animal patients for use in diagnosis and medical/animal research. The project served as theme for the Thesis required to complete the Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering with specialization in Clinical Informatics and Bioinformatics by the University of Coimbra, having attained the final score of 17 out of 20. The main objectives of the internship involved gathering the requirements of the project, planning and development of the data structure and platform architecture, choice of technologies to use (PostgreSQL, HTML, PHP and the CakePHP framework) and collecting patient data at the veterinary clinic.

Attended the university's Summer Internships twice (Summer 2010 and 2012) at the Group of Instrumentation and Electronics (CI-GEI) of the Department of Physics of the University of Coimbra. In 2010, the field of study consisted in the use of optical sensors for measurement of the speed of the pulse wave. Work done for this project involved updating the form and function of the graphical user interface used in the data acquisition by the optical sensors.The second summer internship involved work in the field of electrical impedance spectroscopy. The tasks completed during the time of the internship included the use of data acquisition systems for data and waves, the signal processing and analysis using Matlab and the construction of a prototype and proposal of a new architecture for a new probe (adopted and being used in the scientific project currently being developed at CI-GEI).
