The main functions of the continuous improvement work:1) Responsible for the MRS (Manufacturing Reliability System);2) Optimize the manufacturing process (analysis of bottlenecks and process flows);3) Ensure that productivity, efficiency, uptime and waste reduction targets are met;4) Manage internal/external auditing process;5) Creation of dashboards in Power Bi to help in the daily analysis of the different KPIs;6) Creation of Visual Basic databases to eliminate non-value added tasks;7) Monitoring and control of the department's KPIs; 8) Implementation of lean methodologies such as: - SMED; - 5S; - Lean Six Sigma; - Kanban; - PDCA.9) Lead the continuous improvement initiatives in the factory according to the strategic objectives provided by the company;

The main objectives of this internship were to ensure the reliability of the machines, guarantee the quality of the products, increase productivity and reduce the number of non-conforming products. In order to achieve the objectives mentioned above, it was essential to change mindsets, work methods and procedures already used by operators in their daily routines.As a great challenge, a database was created in Visual Basic that allowed controlling the entire production process of cardboard.
