Jurist and political scientist.Currently, I hold multiple roles, including Deputy Mayor of Notodden (part-time), Assistant Professor at OsloMet and PhD candidate in Law at Leeds Law School, Leeds Beckett University. Additionally, following 10 seasons as the goalkeeper coach for Notodden FK's 1st team, which transitioned from the second level to the third level of competition in Norway, I now assume the role of goalkeeper coach for my son . . . who aspires to surpass his father's achievements as a goalkeeper.My journey began in 2004 when my passion for football led me to Norway during my second year of Law studies at the University of Lisbon School of Law. I enjoyed a professional football career spanning 15 years, from 1998 to 2013, with the last decade spent in Norway.Alongside my sporting pursuits, I successfully completed a BSc in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in 2013 and an MSc in International Relations in 2016, both while working full-time. In February 2020, I concluded my Master of Laws (LLM) in International Law and Diplomacy at Lancaster University. Previously, I began a PhD in Law at the University of Birmingham, which I did not complete. I am now pursuing a PhD in Law at Leeds Law School, Leeds Beckett University, where my research focuses on how great power politics and geopolitical tensions influence cyberspace governance. I aim to address the contested nature of state sovereignty, the role of non-state actors, the fragmented governance structure, and the need for comprehensive cyber treaties, while exploring the development and enforcement of international norms.I am proficient in Portuguese (my native language), English, and Norwegian.
