I am a member of the Not-for-profit Stewardship Group, a group established and run by the ATO that is designed to foster strategic discussions about the major issues impacting not-for-profit organisations and their representatives with key stakeholders from the not-for-profit community. The Not-for-profit Stewardship Group is an opportunity for not-for-profit representatives to engage with senior ATO leaders and help improve the not-for-profit client experience in the tax and super systems.

I was a member of the Murray PHN Governance, Audit and Risk Management Sub-Committee (Governance Sub-Committee). Murray PHN (Primary Health Network) commenced on 1 July 2015 as a part of the national network of 31 PHNs across Australia, which replaced the Medicare Local program. Murray PHN works in close collaboration with the health system to identify areas to improve, either through the better coordination and support of health services or by commissioning new services to address needs.The Governance Sub-Committee is directly accountable to the Murray PHN Board of Directors. The purpose of the Finance and Audit Sub-Committee is to assist the Board in fulfilling its responsibilities regarding governance, the integrity of financial reporting processes and risk management including:- Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standard and best practice guidelines- Oversight of external and internal audit processes Murray PHN governance practices- Compliance with funding agreements with government and other agencies.

I shared the exciting opportunity to assist Loddon Mallee Murray Medicare Local with the establishment of the Murray Primary Health Network (MPHN).
