- Developed a dynamic identification model of the da Vinci Research Kit (dVRK) for a small workspace by using the Neural Networks- Estimated external environment forces in the -x, -y and -z axes utilizing the proposed method

I worked as a researcher in the nationally funded project titled “Design and Development of a Robotic Forceps with Force Feedback Capability for Minimally Invasive Surgery” supported by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK). The objective of the project was to develop a 7-DOF surgical robot that is able to provide haptic feedback to the surgeon by means of mechanical design and control algorithms and I was responsible for developing a control system, force estimation algorithm and bilateral teleoperation system for the robot.In this project, we successfully achieved:- 3D modeling and design of a 7-DOF surgical robot composed of Kuka LBR 7 IIWA R800 and a 4-DOF parallel wrist mechanism by using Solidworks- Mathematical modeling, kinematic analysis, programming and control of the integrated robot in Matlab/Simulink- Developing a novel force estimation algorithm and bilateral teleoperation algorithms based on Neural Network and Disturbance Observer

Design and development of the control system of three-axis ship-mounted mobile antenna system in Simulink/Simmechanics-Matlab

The office environment and the non-engineering departments were observed.

In addition to the internship program in Aldag, some of the details about the working principles of the machines were learnt and assembly line processes were examined in the four week summer practice in Alarko Carrier.

In the two week summer practice in Aldag A.S., I had the chance to examine the production techniques, measurement and product improvement abilities and to see what people can do with knowledge gained in school.
