As the only surveyor on-site, my current duties and responsibilities include managing and overseeing all surveying work carried out on the site. I measure and map out the site, set reference points, and ensure that structures are built according to the project specifications. I regularly communicate with the engineers, architects, and construction workers to ensure that they understand the project requirements and that the work is carried out to the highest standards. I am also responsible for maintaining the surveying equipment, keeping accurate records and documentation, and ensuring that all survey work is done safely and efficiently. My work plays a vital role in the success of the construction project, helping it stay on track and within budget. To fulfill these duties, I have to work well under pressure, solve problems quickly, and communicate effectively with all members of the construction team.
