I am currently a third-year Finance student studying at Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), expected to graduate in July 2023. As my classes are held 3 times per week, I wish to utilise my time meaningfully and therefore, am currently looking for internship/part-time job opportunities in the Accounting/Finance industry. From my studies in SUSS, I was able to develop my knowledge of the Finance industry, particularly in financial tools and risk management. I was also able to learn Python Programming, which has sparked an interest for me to further learn other programming languages such as Java and C++. To know more about the Finance industry, I have participated in a 2-week Islamic Finance programme, organised by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). The programme had taught me more about the Islamic Capital Market and the relevant Shariah law. The knowledge gained provided me with another perspective on how banks can be operated and had made me more open-minded in working with the variety of financial packages available in market currently. I am also part of a club that provides tutoring for Primary and Secondary School students, which I am passionate about and has been involved in from 2017 to 2020. This year, I was part of a committee that started a Sign Language Club in our university. I took up the role of a Treasurer and, on top of that, had the responsibility to plan for lessons (online & zoom) and attend meetings with the university's Student Committee. I find a great sense of fulfilment to be able to help out in areas where others are struggling in and I hope to find this sense of fulfilment in my future work as well. In addition to my background in Accountancy and my major in Finance, I am also pursuing Information Technology as my minor. I wish to expand my knowledge in Financial Technology and hope to be a well-rounded financial advisor in the future. Thank you for reading!
