Nurra is an Indonesian-bred Singaporean creative and third-year Arts Management student at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA).Her interests lie at the intersection of arts, history, heritage conservation, climate justice, and making arts (education) accessible. As a writer, her work has previously been published at publications such as Carpe Bloom. She is also the recipient of the Gold Award at Pena Emasku 2017 -- a national Malay essay writing competition. Currently, she is the President of Laskar NAFA, Indonesian Society at NAFA. Under her leadership, Laskar NAFA successfully held an exhibition entitled, Laskar Pelangi: Knock The Propaganda 2022 which was graced by the Indonesian ambassador to Singapore, H.E. Suryo Pratomo. Laskar NAFA also saw a rapid increase in participation and membership rate under her tenure as President.She aspires to apply her expertise in people management, writing, public speaking, and leadership in the creative industry. Previously, she has worked as a gallery sitter at Malay Heritage Centre, National Museum of Singapore, and Indian Heritage Centre. Additionally, she has also volunteered for the Singapore International Film Festival and STPI Creative Workshop and Gallery Open House. These experiences have exposed her to various industry settings as well as team dynamics.Her experience living and studying in Indonesia and Singapore has equipped her with an extensive global outlook and the skill to work with a diverse team in international settings. She is also fluent in English, Indonesian, and Malay. Additionally, she also holds a Level 1 Certification in Singapore Sign Language (SGSL) and is actively polishing her SGSL fluency in hope of helping to make the local art and heritage scene more accessible to everyone, particularly the Deaf community.
