My interest in the medical field began when I was eight years old, staying up late to watch plastic surgery shows with my dad. I was fascinated by the human body and always loved science so I knew a career in the healthcare field was in my future. As I grew older I watched many family members suffer from physical and mental illnesses. I began to understand what it meant to be a caregiver to those suffering. I wanted to make a difference and knew that being at the bedside of those who needed me the most was what I was meant to do. During nursing school, I discovered many passions within the field of nursing and now as a new graduate nurse, I am ready to join the workforce of nurses who provide safe and compassionate care to those who need us the most.
