I am a Certified Nurse Educator, Certified Heathcare Simulation Educator, and forensic nurse. As a PhD candidate at The University of Texas Medical Branch, I am developing my research on forensic nursing practice in the context of non-fatal strangulation. As an elementary school nurse at Bryan ISD, I provide compassionate and comprehensive care to students and staff, ensuring their health and safety. As an AHA instructor, I also collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to ensure emergency response teams on each campus are CPR certified. I have over five years of experience as a sexual assault nurse examiner at Baylor Scott & White Health, where I perform forensic examinations, collect evidence, and provide emotional support to survivors of sexual violence. I am certified by the Texas Attorney General and nationally as a SANE across the lifespan, and I have received multiple awards and recognitions for my work in this field. Furthermore, I have a strong background in nursing education, having worked in various roles at Texas A&M University for over a decade. I am skilled in curriculum development, program management, healthcare simulation, and public speaking.
