Prof. Nicolas Sanner group;a studentship project on ultrafast laser solid interactions at Laboratory LP3 (Marseille, France) as a part of my Master's program. My research is oriented toward investigations on the nonlinear energy deposition in solids and control of the resulting material micro-modification, within a large range of laser intensities . I already took part in the following experiments running at LP3, all using ultrashort-pulse lasers:• Interaction with dielectrics and semiconductors• Laser-induced forward transfer of biological material• Time-resolved experiments, laser beam shaping

Prof. Majed Chergui group;I have started to work on the pump-seed-pulse synchronization for optical parametric chirped pulse amplification (OPCPA). LSU is doing time-resolved optical spectroscopy with high resolution which usually allows probing the system time evolution from 100 fs to 2-3 ns. The synchronization of the pump-seed-pulse allows probing from 100 fs to the microsecond regime in one experiment (which is a very rare feature in this field).

Prof. Nicolas Sanner groupIn this project, I studied and characterized axicon-generated Bessel beams which is themost convenient way in terms of energy efficiency and experimental implementation. In order to optimize and adjust the shapes of laser beam intensity, further beam tailoring is tested by using annular and circular apertures with different parameters. This work has been realized on the “ASUR” platform (Applications des Sources UltraRapides) of LP3 laboratory, that delivers 25-fs, 1-mJ, 800-nm pulses, in view of their further utilization for ablation of micro- and nano-channels in fused silica

Supervisor: Prof. Henri PartanenIn this project, I have analyzed coherence theory and measured spatial coherence of a partially coherent light source using wavefront folding interferometer (FWI). Captured interference fringes images are processed by Matlab software program and the degree of (spatial) coherence µ has been calculated as a function of driving current and plotted the curve of that.
