Financial Crime Transformation, Tysers Insurance Brokers Limited, London• In collaboration with business stakeholders and Deloitte led the Data & MI workstream of a strategic Financial Crime (FC) transformation programme for a specialist Lloyd’s of London insurance broker.• Working with executive and senior leadership in Risk & Compliance, Finance, Operations, HR and IT delivered the Management Information and Data plan for the transformation programme.• Implemented improvements to existing tactical solutions, improving the accuracy and completeness of MI reporting. • Supported the development and completion of a new Financial Crime data catalogue covering onboarding, monitoring & Screening and payment processing.• In partnership with the head of Risk and Compliance, responsible for collating, cleansing, analysing and commenting on FC data from multiple disparate sources to produce the FC MI pack presented to the FC committee every month.• Supported implementation of strategic client onboarding solution from an external vendor in every stage of design and implementation, from defining data/MI requirements to testing and implementation.• Developed and operationalised a suite of reporting for the Financial Crime Transaction Monitoring workstream.• For the BAU reporting oversaw the development of self-service reporting solutions using Power BI, SQL and Excel that can be supported and maintained by colleagues in the MI team.

Data Analytics Team, Global Internal Audit• Designed and implemented a data warehouse by capturing audit data from over 100 Domino databases located throughout the HSBC group, captured data then consolidated and loaded into a single SQL Server database.• For the daily refresh of the data warehouse developed ETL tools using SSIS and Lotusscript.• Implemented SQL server and VBA end-user reporting applications, notably the Global Audit Reporting System (GARS). • Designed secure audit data feeds for data ingesting partners throughout the HSBC group.• Sourced and analysed business data using SAS/SQL/Excel to produce exceptions and sample reports for a wide variety of audit projects. Some notable audit projects included US Payment Transparency investigation, UK Retail Banking and Wealth Management’s FATCA programme, PRA section 166 review of bank’s corporate Loss Given Default (LGD) model and Financial Crime Risk review of special category clients (SCC) / high-risk customers in the UK.• Streamlined the manual Audits-In-Progress reporting process by a building a SQL Server and VBA utilised data capture and reporting solution thus significantly reducing the length of time required to produce final reports. • Played a vital role in the Global Internal Audit for all ad-hoc data queries and regulatory investigations.
