Working for PRAN-Tetra Pak Dairy Development Project to help small-scale dairy development program across the northern part of Bangladesh. Gender focused training and extension is crucial for the sustainable development of small-scale dairy where women involvement at household level found more than men. UNIDO is providing technical assistance to assess the gender gaps and supporting to develop gender focused training materials useful for rural small-holder farmers engaged in dairy sector.

My responsibility include overseeing the ongoing training and awareness program under the project. Working as Co-Investigator for ERG under a study titled: Industry Mapping and Labour Practices Analysis for the Project “Improving Labour Law Compliance and Building Sound Labour Practices in the Export Oriented Shrimp Sector in Bangladesh” under ILO. Conducted a gender assessment related to the dairy sector in the project target area covering Pabna, Sirajgonj, Natore and Rangpur districts. The purpose of the gender assessment was to identify the gender related distribution of the roles in the sector roles and opportunities of the proposed program to improve the growth potential of the sector, and promote gender equality and women’s economic empowerment.

Working for Better Work and Standards Program (BEST) under Better Fisheries Quality (BFQ) Component as National Expert. Responsible for facilitating better social compliance and addressing the gender issue across the shrimp value chain in Bangladesh.

Worked for Bangladesh Quality Support Program (BQSP) Fisheries as National Expert , WID (Women In Development) and responsible for looking after WID and CSR across the shrimp production and processing chain in Bangladesh.

Undertook Social Feasibility Study for the Shrimp Sector of Bangladesh and the study report was published as a book chapter in "Shrimp Farming and Industry: Sustainability, Trade and Livelihoods" published by UPL in 2006. Led DFID investment in infrastructure development in coastal shrimp areas to develop community based water management to more shrimp and rice without social conflict.
