About Nur Yalçındağ

Born in Istanbul, Turkey, Nur Yalcindag was fortunate to experience many cultures while traveling in her early age. After graduating from American Academy for Girls (Today known as UAL), she studied Biology Engineering, Biotechnology at the University of Istanbul and received Bachelor’s Degree in Science. While at school she worked as an Intern Product Manager at Farkim Pharmaceutical, importing raw materials for pharmaceuticals. She represented the company at various conventions in Europe. She later worked as the Sales and Marketing Manager for Dogatek International Trading Firm that introduced Psion Handhelds to Turkish Market preceding iPads. In 1998, she went to USA pursuing her MBA degree at Loyola University, Chicago. Her concentrations include Marketing, International Business and Information Systems Management. She graduated in 2000 and for the last 20 plus years she has been involved in highly strategic risk management in various industries especially volatile markets including insurance, finance, and banking assisting high net-worth individuals and companies in risk management and finance.Currently, she has invested in Rapatek®, a conventional Bathroom Equipment and Accessories business and is the co-founder and CEO of the company.In her leisure time, she commits to community work. She is a Rotarian, initiated as a member at the Rotary Club of Skokie Valley in 2002. She is also a member of the International Women Association, WeConnect International and supports women groups like Kagider. Between 2015 and 2017 acting as the Youth and Foundation Coordinator she has touched the lives of selected highschool students by organizing their Rotary Youth Exchange Program worldwide. Moreover, she has held offices at Turkish American Cultural Alliance and İstanbul Sarıyer Rotary Club as the General Secretary and Rotary Club of Skokie Valley as the President Elect and General Secretary for two terms. Currently, she is a member of Galatasaray Rotary Club and the 2024-2025 Youth Exchange Chair for Rotary District 2420.
