Daily management of all customer account payments▪ Manage and plan all follow up contact with customer queries and daily advising management in steps to proceed with case by case debt collection▪ Monitor and control the sales ledger so the credit account customers do not exceed their credit terms.▪ Utilize and follow up on internal branch functions and resources to improve returns of cash credits and credit notes▪ Chasing outstanding debt▪ Place daily float in retail trade counter till.▪ Receive retail entries of cash, cheques, credit cards and in payment for parts purchased using invoices raised by the Parts Advisor.▪ Print cash analysis outputs at the end of each day.▪ Monitor unpaid invoices against the cash analysis daily report.▪ Reconcile the banking for the previous day’s business and investigate and detail any discrepancies.▪ Set up a consistent filing system for current and past document archiving to improve response time for customer queries.▪ Reconcile drivers’ daily delivery sheets one day in arrears.▪ Full accountability for the petty cash process, claims, money transfers, part payments and delayed payment plans, consistently achieving set company targets.▪ Establish stationary requirements for the branch and prepare a list for authorisation by the Manager.▪ Check credit references for new accounts.▪ Deal with Securicor collections▪ Liaise daily with Senior Head office Credit control functions to manage customers credit limit requirements and expectations▪ Assist Branch Manager by following up on debtors, particularly returned cheques whenever required.▪ Meeting set deadlines, this includes ad hoc duties from peers as well as senior levels.
