Hello LinkedIn! My name is Nushrat but most people call me Nush. My journey in manufacturing is always growing and has taken me through different avenues of the industry. I am currently working as a Process and Quality technician at Precision Materials. Previously (and very fondly) I worked as a CNC Swiss set up tech. At the time, I didn’t have a designated trainer at work so every thing I had to work through I had to figure out through my own means. At that point I realized that there is so much information out there in books, podcasts, videos, and people. Most everything I learned at Trend Performance was learned by being thrown into the thick of it. I had been given an amazing opportunity to grow under pressure. Prior to moving onto the swiss lathes I operated a few CNCs ranging from Okuma’s to Takisawa’s, even to dual spindle Murata’s. I don’t have very much “official” education, as I went to tech school for automotive, but everything I know I learned on the job from many talented machinists. I started working with CNC’s while I was in tech school in 2022. My hunger for education led me to where I am today and continues to push me through new obstacles. If anyone has insight or advice please feel free to share, as I always love to network and connect. My main interest is in motorsports and high performance automotive applications. My life’s mission statement is to attract more people to the industry by sharing content on a number of platforms to reach large audiences. To show people how our industry truly is, and to help the next generation succeed. Newest Update: I have launched my own podcast! Next Gen MFG, the podcast is dedicated to shining a light on the next generation of leaders in the skilled trades. Explore the journeys of people across industries like manufacturing, welding, automotive, carpentry, and other hands-on professions. The podcast serves as a platform for individuals who are shaping the future, often choosing paths outside of traditional college routes to build fulfilling and impactful careers. Each episode dives into guests' stories, challenges, and achievements. We cover topics ranging from career development, navigating industry changes, and the benefits of pursuing a career in the trades, and leadership within these professions, offers inspiration, advice, and insight for both young professionals entering the workforce and established workers looking to grow. I will also be interviewing students in technical or vocational school and those pursuing STEM education.https://linktr.ee/nextgenmfg
