I’m a reporter at the Detroit Free Press and BridgeDetroit, covering issues related to economic mobility, including housing, affordability and inequities that prevent low-income families from achieving financial stability, with a laser focus on Detroit. My stories zoom into community concerns and aim to get to the bottom of questions residents have. I’m a firm believer in journalism that holds power to account, untangles complicated systems, tells on-the-ground stories rooted in the community and makes an impact. I’m a 2024 National Press Foundation Widening the Pipeline fellow. I've received first place awards from the Detroit chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists for feature writing and engagement-driven reporting. I came to the Free Press through Report for America and graduated from Columbia Journalism School and Wayne State University. Got tips or story ideas?
