I do like to describe myself as a "neo-generalist" in Finance, Internal Audit, Governance, and an enthusiast of ESG/Sustainability and Leadership. I am a global citizen, born in Mozambique and raised in Portugal.I studied Economics and Chartered Certified Accountancy in the UK, where I worked for 13 years with organizations such as British Airways Plc, National Grid Plc, and Monitor. In 2010, I moved to the UAE to join one of the Big Four consulting companies.I took a leap into sustainability when I joined SEE Holding in 2019. Since then, I have dedicated my time and effort to understanding sustainability, earning a certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute in December 2021.I also completed the 18-month Sustainability program by the A4S Academy, part of the King Charles III Charitable Fund Group of Charities, graduating in December 2023. The A4S Academy aims to inspire finance leaders to drive a fundamental shift towards resilient business models and a sustainable economy.In December 2023, I launched a personal project called esglibrary.com (ESGL), a virtual library dedicated ESG, Sustainability matters and Responsible Leadership.I have a special interest in responsible leadership and strive to advise leadership teams on key principles based on integrity, transparency, and wider stakeholder interests. I follow the "three Ps" approach, integrating planet and people considerations into business models to ultimately achieve long-term profitability and prosperity.
