Responsible for creating new and innovative nutraceutical products, which included softgels, capsules, tablets, bars and drinks. Ensuring that products are compliant with DSHEA labeling guidelines and that they have adequate substantiation for label claims. Managed product development department, worked alongside Natrol’s marketing department and approve and suggest marketing text for both products and literature. Communicate with raw material vendors, review novel ingredients and obtain pricing and samples in order to produce pilot batches for new product introductions. Awarded Natrol employee of the month.

Responsible for expanding nutritional product lines internationally, in both new and existing markets throughout Europe. Work alongside consultants / attorneys to ultimately obtain product approvals from Ministries of Health or regulatory bodies. Responsible for creating product attestations, rationales and toxicity reports required for registration with Ministries of Health. Continuously perform due diligence related to product licensure and current regulatory requirements. Responsible for reviewing new products to determine their viability from a manufacturing standpoint. Herbalife employee of the month (November 2000).

Responsible for the testing and development of new and existing nutraceutical products, which include softgels, powders, capsules and tablets. Obtained competitive pricing from raw material vendors in order to reduce production costs of existing products without compromising quality. Supervised the manufacturing of products to ensure that products achieved their required specifications. Issued product deviations to bring a product within product specifications. Evaluated finished products’ integrity through accelerated stability testing, disintegration times, friability testing, organoleptic analysis, thickness and hardness tests. Reviewed product labels to ensure that they reflected the correct nutritional values and conformed to FDA standards outlined in DSHEA.
