About Nataliya V. Hanson, Msot, Otr/L
I am an Occupational Therapist and Women's Health Advocate who has a passion for Maternal Health. I believe that it should be standard practice that all women have access to rehabilitation for an early and successful recovery post birth, C-Section or any other pelvic surgery. I believe Occupational and Physical Therapists should be treating and educating on all Obstetric, Labor & Delivery, and Gynecology Floors as we are hired to rehabilitate on all other floors within hospital systems. I am completing my doctorate and working on a project that targets this gap of care within our health system. I am also an advocate for the following bill and join you to support this bill as well: "Optimizing Postpartum Outcomes Act (H.R. 2480) offers mothers the dignity of enhancing their recovery after delivery with rehabilitation services starting in the hospital and home during the postpartum period of lactation or six months from the last day of pregnancy, whichever is later."
