• Adapted environmental science and biology lesson plans to educate students virtually and in-person while adhering to Ohio’s Learning Standards for Science. • Collaborated with the natural science career-tech educator and created a project that involved soil ecology and the benefits of bioremediation. As a result, students grew their own oyster mushrooms and were able to have active-learning experiences showing that fungi have the potential to break down oil, plastics, and pesticides in our environment.• Managed the school greenhouse: built tanks used to grow and release perch in local tributaries, maintain aquaponics systems, and grow plants used for in-school projects.• Assisted with the school plant sale by planting local pollinator species.
