• Edited the Teacher Trendline, a monthly newsletter analyzing data from the Teacher Contract Database.
• Coordinated the selection and activities of the NCTQ’s Teacher Advisory Group.

• Led State and Federal legislative advocacy efforts including revision of California’s charter school funding model, resulting in a $1M+ annual revenue increase for SFUSD without decreasing charter school revenue..
• Managed and maintained the Weighted Student Formula, a $220M resource allocation system for San Francisco’s 100+ schools.
• Designed and led the implementation of the Quality Teacher and Education Act of 2008, a parcel tax passed by 70% of San Francisco voters. The Act provided incentives for teaching in high-need schools, increased.
• Supervised the Student Nutrition Services Department, including operation of the National School Lunch Program, with 195 employees and $18M annual budget.

• Represented Office of the Chief Financial Officer on several committees and task forces, including review of the District of Columbia’s Uniform Per Pupil Funding Program.
• Coordinated development of DC Public School’s FY 2002 Proposed Operating Budget and related communications, including the Budget Book and Citizens’ Guide.
• Directed a partnership with the Federal City Council for business leaders to help support schools with first-year principals.
• Assisted principals and department heads in setting up and managing budgets, processing the hiring of new staff and aligning resources to needs.
