I am a graduate from The Pennsylvania State University that double majored in Biology (Eberly College of Science) and Biology Secondary Education (College of Education). My passions include educating and motivating youth in the sciences and serving my community both at home and at my university. Currently, I am student teaching in a 9th and 10th grade Advanced Biology and science ESL class. One of my favorite parts of this experience has been watching my students flourish in a STEM class combining their creativity and curiosity with the curriculum, collaborating with my mentor, and making connections with the staff and district personnel. While I am not in the classroom, I am helping serve the local community. As the University Relations Director of Lion Ambassadors at The Pennsylvania State University, I had the unique opportunity to communicate with multiple organizations on campus as well as external groups in the community to coordinate service and diversity equity and inclusion (DEI) events for the organization's members. In my free time, I enjoy learning new languages, playing volleyball, playing the piano and singing.
