Head Of Video: Creative Director / Exec Producer. I led the strategy, development, production and delivery of all original and commercial video across the BuzzFeed Network: BuzzFeed (comedy/lifestyle/culture), Tasty (food), BringMe! (travel). Building and managing a content team that generated over 700M monthly views and over a billion minutes of watch-time.Highlights included growing Tasty UK to over 20M active followers, developing IP and BuzzFeed’s first slate of premium shows outside of the US, launching and growing a suite of local market social channels across every social platform, and partnering with the world’s biggest platforms, celebrities, creators and brands.In my role I defined the editorial vision and operational structure across a wide variety of content: from UCG & short-form to premium episodic shows. I led every aspect of end-to-end content creation, building a network of external partners to help deliver this and launching the UK Creator Network that developed in-house talent alongside well-known external creators and influencers.I managed a yearly production budget and the workloads and goals of several teams as well as leading the data-driven review of content performance ensuring that key metrics and audience growth goals were hit, in addition to optimising content for monetisation across different platforms - resulting in 100% YoY growth.I also served as Creative Director for all commercial partnerships. Leading the pitching of and execution of audience-first branded content - from episodic show sponsorships to social-media campaigns. As a senior leader, I managed an overall department of 28+ video producers, editors, producers, writers & creatives and partnered with key stakeholders in-market and globally to develop new revenue models.
