Creating an e-book exploring the interconnected themes of child aspirations, rights in education, and decolonial education. This project provided a platform to examine the progression of the global movement for decolonising education and its impact on educational rights and aspirations for children worldwide.

The Ethical Development Initiative (EDI) is a dynamic and inclusive student-led initiative based at the London School of Economics (LSE). Our community brings together individuals from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about promoting critical engagement and ethical awareness in the field of international development.​At the heart of our initiative is the belief that development discourse must be grounded in ethical considerations - a notion largely neglected in the development discourse today. Our aim is to inspire and engage our members to develop a critical awareness of the ethical implications of development practices and policies, both within the industry and more broadly. We do this by producing, distributing, and curating valuable content that is relevant to the field of international development. This content takes various forms, including through workshops, articles, podcasts, videos, and other media that help to disseminate knowledge and stimulate discussions among our members.

Consultancy Project: Sustainable Industrialisation: Examining Green Industrial Policy in Africa

As the Students' Union Communications Assistant, I assisted in keeping our digital presence vibrant and up-to-date. My responsibilities included managing the upload and removal of digital assets to maintain an engaging and up-to-date website. In the fast-paced world of communication and marketing, I continuously created assets using tools like Canva and Adobe. I played an important role in executing the social media strategy, scheduling tweets, Facebook, and Instagram posts while actively exploring innovative ways to boost engagement and elevate the organisations profile. Additionally, I wrote blogs, summarised case studies on various activities, and sourced press releases and other assets to amplify our reach. Further, I contributed to content production, working on briefs, storyboards, and asset collection. A key part of my role involved assisting and editing the monthly Network Newsletter, ensuring smooth mail-outs. My time as a Communications Assistant was spent working with an incredible team, and making meaningful contributions to the amazing work the marketing and communications team do.

As the Public Relations Officer for the African Caribbean Society, I played a central role in enhancing the society’s visibility and engagement. My responsibilities included planning, developing, and executing targeted campaigns and strategies aimed at boosting membership and interaction. I successfully revamped our social media presence, implementing a design that was not only more visually appealing but also fostered increased engagement. By regularly screening our post performance analytics, I identified content that maximised interaction and support, providing valuable recommendations on content creation that were mindful of audience preferences. The successful implementation of these insights contributed significantly to effectively marketing the society's offerings. Additionally, I took charge of developing innovative fundraising strategies to ensure the society's financial stability.

During my time as an online English Tutor, I had the incredible opportunity to connect with language learners from diverse corners of the globe. I tailored my teaching approach to suit each individual student, fostering a personalised and effective learning experience. A key aspect of my role involved honing strong communication skills, and adeptly demonstrating and clarifying topics in lessons. To ensure productivity, I meticulously planned lessons in advance. However, beyond the lesson plans, I actively listened to students' challenges, addressing their specific difficulties and creating an environment where they felt comfortable and supported. The positive rapport I built with students extended beyond our virtual classrooms, as many recommended my tutoring services to their friends and family.

Participating in the New York NMUN was the perfect opportunity for me to heighten and test my skills. I cannot express how grateful I am for the experience, as the skills and friendships I gained are priceless.Despite COVID, I have had the privilege of training and participating in the New York NMUN conference. Although we were prevented from travelling, it was still an enriching experience.NMUN allowed me to put my public speaking, interpersonal, and research skills to the test in a professional context. The conference gave me key insights into the world of diplomacy, negotiation and international cooperation and problem solving.As a training Delegate I represented a range of countries whose cultures and local affairs I had only engaged with on a surface level, including Iceland, Canada and The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Researching and representing the positions of these nations on differing agenda topics allowed me to enhance my solution based thinking, speech writing, and when faced with an issue that was controversial to the country I was representing, skillful deflecting and persuasion. Additionally, the extensive research on countries with such different cultures and identities deepened my appreciation and love of conducting research.During the conference, I was given the opportunity to represent The Russian Federation in the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty Committee. Here we discussed issues of Nuclear Disarmament and Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy. Representing a large nation whose aura exudes confidence and power was a great opportunity for me to practice being a strong, confident speaker. It forced me to take a leadership role in debates as many countries were looking to cooperate, discuss and hear what the large and controversial nation of Russia had to say. It was an incredible experience and I am very proud and grateful to my teammate who worked with me in the committee. We lived up to expectations and received the Outstanding Delegates Award!
