After helping develop a previous concept, our brand, LOCAL, emerged with a strong commitment to creating the best human experience. Gleaux is a refuge from the commonly inhumane aspects of the world. It has served as an oasis driven by providing the best human experience in the industry. In the beginning, no one knew if it were possible to create this. I had the fortune of executing and implementing the vision cast and directed by Dawson Barksdale to operate not as "just a carwash", but as a leadership factory and place to help people feel important. We opened 4 months before a global pandemic and were able to create a unique experience for people to leave the house and receive kindness. Since then, we increased to provide outstanding human experiences at 5 sites, hosted annual Fright nights, washed thousands of dogs, and lead 100s of team members. Gleaux raised the bar and pushed surrounding businesses to serve others better.Though most of the credit goes to our team, I was able to help develop the "Secret Gleaux Sauce" (its people) in various ways.I acted as a partner in the planning and implementation of a single automatic express car wash and helped expand operations to 5 sites.I worked with leaders to develop effective and efficient policies and procedures.I collaborated with the team to solve problems (mechanical, staffing, culture, etc). I, fortunately, recruited outstanding talent, who then attracted and recruited further talent creating a self-sustaining leadership factory.I developed tools to measure data, calculate bonuses and enrich the team members' experience.I provided oversight and coaching to Human Resources, Marketing, Operations, and Maintenance.We developed and maintained positive reception from guests and at least 4.6 star ratings on Google for all sites.I captured data and performed analytics to track kpis.We crafted an engaging human experience for our team members, guests and community.I planned and executed Fright Night Events with the marketing and operations teams generating an extra $24-48K per October.We created a team that truly cared for people.
