As an actor traveling around NYC to my auditions and bookings, the subways were always a source of inspiration. The diversity of people - not found in any other place I had ever visited - were a feast for watching, appreciating and for character study. The experience was profound. I even found myself strangely attracted to the ephemera - the signs, maps, station graphics. Guess it was inevitable that I would have to pursue my idea to make fashion out of this NYC mix.Now NYC Subway Line is New York's own clothing line! In 2018 I launched Map't Gear, a Corporate Gift and Promotional Products company which creates products with customized Maps of a company's of locations or meeting locations anywhere in the world, city, state, or continent. AdWeek calls us the "Anti-Swag Swag Bag" and we agree! Our goal is to make fashion forward products that people will cherish, keep and use. (Not just put a giant logo on something that might be tossed or donated.)We are looking to find the right strategic partners to help us bring our cool Map't concepts to the world!
