About Nadeem Ahmad

Nadeem Ahmad is a senior policy specialist and development practitioner with over 15 years of experience in sustainable development, climate change adaptation and water governance. He has been involved with national and sub-national governments for shaping effective actions and policies in response to delivering goal 6 and 13 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He played an active role in the regional and international process on climate change mitigation and adaptation especially negotiation support to regional countries in Asia and the development of NDCs for Paris Agreement. Nadeem has led the SDGs adaption at country-level in Pakistan since the adoption of Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development in 2015. Previously, he has been associated with WaterAid, Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN), UNDP Pakistan, UNDP Europe &CIS, Commonwealth Telecommunication Organisation (CTO), UNIDO and LEAD Pakistan. He holds a Master’s degree in International public policy from the University of Tsukuba and advance professional training on ‘Sustainable Development’ from United Nations University Japan and Central European University Budapest.
