Mineral exploration work with a focus on developing resources for junior mining companies. Projects included mapping and sampling of an orogenic gold deposit in Oregon. Logging RC cuttings and field sampling at a lithium prospect in SW Nevada. Mapping and sampling at a gold prospect in SW Nevada. As well as claim staking campaigns for clients. Report writing, client communication, and managing and organizing fieldwork were integral to each project.

Copper exploration and project management in the Alaska Range. The first of two projects was oriented core drilling into a VMS deposit. Duties includes overseeing daily operations, helping create a logging scheme, logging, and assisting clients in Australia with both calling drill hopes and determining drill targets. The next project focused on developing and recognizing an apparent copper porphyry deposit at a remote property in the Western Alaska Range. The project included ground and airborne geophysical surveys, geochemical sampling, and geologic mapping. Duties included overseeing and planning daily operations (with our pilots, geophysicists, and field assistants), directing sampling, mapping and directing mapping assistants, running the budget, reporting and meeting regularly with the client, and touring the property with the client and potential investors.

Seasonal mineral exploration fieldwork based out of Fairbanks, Alaska. Not a continuous full-time job over the last ten years, but series of different field seasons between school and other jobs that ranged from up eight months working in Alaska to coming up for just a couple week long project. Projects included RC drilling, helicopter assisted core drilling, geophysical surveying, and supervising remote-sampling projects. Although the majority of work was in remote Alaskan wilderness areas, projects were performed in and around the Fort Knox and Pogo Mines as well. The most recent project was helicopter assisted recon and geologic mapping in the Brooks range based out of Coldfoot, Alaska.

Teaching assistant position with the geology department during graduate school at Western Washington University. Duties included either teaching a lab course or assisting a professor with a higher level geology course like structural geology or petrology.
