Education industry investment, acquisition and strategy professional with over 20 years of corporate, private equity, seed investment and advisory transaction experience.A founding team member of Apollo Group's $1 billion international education joint venture private equity fund with the Carlyle Group, personally leading over $750 million of investment, subsequently advised one of the largest media companies in the world on building a $1 billion education business as well as the largest foundation in the world on helping to bridge capital gaps in supporting education innovation. Through this work, I founded Educated Ventures, an education industry advisory and seed investment firm that has successfully raised or invested over $150 million across a dozen direct investments and separate client capital raises since founding as well as advised on over two dozen M&A transactions.I also founded Educelerate, Inc. a not-for-profit network to support education innovation that holds monthly events involving a membership base of over 5,000 Educelerants in Chicago, the Twin Cities, Los Angeles and Colorado.
