I graduated summa cum laude from Point Park University's School of Arts & Sciences with a degree in Psychology in 2015 with an Honors Certificate; and I was inducted into Alpha Chi National College Honor Society and Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology. In the Spring of 2017, I graduated from Teachers College, Columbia University with a Master of the Arts in Psychological Counseling and a Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling. I completed my clinical internship at Mount Sinai West - The Addictions Institute of New York.I began my career a mental health counselor at an Opioid Treatment Program in the Bronx through Montefiore Medical Center at the Melrose Wellness Center. In this role, I provided ongoing individual counseling to approximately 50-60 clients, in addition to facilitating a weekly psycho-educational/process hybrid group regarding marginalization and substance abuse. Additionally, I held various leadership roles through my engagement in the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the Department of Psychiatry at Montefiore Medical Center. I worked at with a group practice as a licensed psychotherapist and clinical supervisor. In this role I provided individual and couples therapy, facilitated two weekly interpersonal process groups, and engaged in teletherapy/coaching services when necessary. I provided supervision to masters level interns and pre-licensed clinicians. I launched my private practice for individual, couples, and group therapy. I am also able to provide clinical supervision and I'm both an anti-oppression and LGBTQIA+ consultant.I am an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology & Education at Teachers College, Columbia University teaching mental health counseling graduate students.
