Member of an all-volunteer, independent safety task force set up by the NZHGPA that aims to review and evolve safety within free flying in NZ. I was a lead member, the human factors psychology specialist, and principal author of the STF's 65-page safety report. Our work was awarded a globally recognised FAI air sports medal for our work in July 2023.

I was a team manager for a team delivering across a wide portfolio or talent projects and part of the UKI professional services management team. I was also internal sponsor for high-value client projects, conducted pre-sales/solutions consulting for bespoke client support, and delivered on global executive-level and large-scale talent projects that included leader assessment and development.

Lead talent management and advisory projects in recruiting, development, leadership, and talent management architecture that improved individual performance and business outcomes across a wide range of contexts, organisations, and industries. Lead a team of consultants who did the same.

The NZDF Directorate of Psychology provides a wide range of proactive and reactive psychology, talent, and human resources support to leaders, teams, and command elements across the three services of the NZ Defence Force. As deputy director, I was the 2IC and member of the DoP leadership team. Roles included representing the director at a senior level; policy, planning and oversight; and high-level service delivery and advice. I was also the leader of the central projects and research team made up of experienced specialists from across the army, air force, and navy; and administrator of the NZDF's psychologist training scheme (registration/chartership). I liaised with other government and non-government bodies on behalf of the directorate including the Ministry of Defence, Police, the NZ Psychologists Board, and the NZ Psychological Society. I was also periodically seconded to the NZDF Institute for Leader Development as a facilitator and advisor on their leadership programs.

This group of industry experts provides external advice and oversight on the academic content of the University of Auckland School of Psychology's industrial/occupational psychology program. I was an invited member and provided advice on how the content and graduating students are received in the workplace and how their university education may be improved and adapted as real-world demands change, particularly given defence is a large employer of psychology graduates from across the country.

The Navy's Organisational Psychology Department supports RNZN personnel across the wide range of their service, including through recruitment and selection, training, performance, leadership, and deployment on ships and land overseas. As the senior psychologist for the navy, I was responsible for the training and practice of the team of psychologists, the provision of proactive and reactive psychological services, support to operations, and advice to senior leadership.

Provided talent and psychology support to the RNZN as it enabled a diverse group of young New Zealanders to do highly technical roles in potentially very challenging situations. I partnered with all levels of people in the organisation and their managers to support them in their performance, resilience and well-being, leadership development, recruitment and selection assessment, training, and military operations. I also worked in trauma intervention, organisational development, organisational research, training development and delivery, and human factors.

The United Nations Command Military Armistice Committee has been in place since 1953 and monitors the armistice agreement between North and South Korea. It works in a very unique and testing physical and political environment. As a military officer and representative of the NZ government, I acted as a duty officer and an operations officer for the organisation, being directly involved in planning, delivering, and reporting on activities inside the demilitarised zone. This included liaising with senior military and political figures, allied military personnel, and North Korean officials.

Tutored undergraduate students in general psychology while studying for my masters degree. The role included teaching laboratory and tutorial sessions; providing one-on-one assistance to students; and marking test papers.

Stirlings and Orakei dive shops were independent dive stores catering to the recreational diving and tourism industries. I was a scuba diving instructor, trip leader, shop manager, gear sales and service, commercial dive boat operator.
