I consider myself extremely fortunate to have embarked on the journey as a Digital Accessibility Specialist and a passionate Disability Advocate. My own experience with disability has driven my dedication to ensuring that digital information and technologies can and will be accessible to everyone.For over 20 years, I've been privileged to deliver personalized one-on-one and group training programs, create awareness campaigns, conduct technology assessments, and audit websites against web standards and best practice principles. I've learned that real change comes from a mix of knowledge, enthusiasm and compassion.Through public speaking and group presentations, I've strived to amplify the message of accessibility and inclusivity. A good sense of humour has been my constant companion. Laughter is a universal language that unites us all and helps dismantle barriers.Outside of work, I've challenged myself by completing the New York City Marathon ten times. It shows my dedication to pushing boundaries and celebrating resilience - Oh yeah, and my love of New York pizza!My true passion lies in collaboration - with individuals and organizations - toward the goal of making digital accessibility a fundamental expectation rather than a privilege.It is my belief that success happens when we work with each other rather than separately or in competition.
