With over 25 years of experience in the tech sector, I am a seasoned digital leader with a focus on transformational change and skills development.I currently lead the digital and technology initiatives at GS1 New Zealand in a combined CIO/CTO/CDO role. GS1’s standards and systems play a critical role in the daily lives of New Zealanders. From licensing and managing GTINs (those barcodes on nearly every product) to running systems that support supermarkets, large retailers, and the national product recall service, GS1 is integral to the country’s commerce and safety. We even managed the location register behind the Covid QR code posters. Additionally, GS1 is a key part of the NZBN system, supporting businesses across the nation.My role involves leading a talented digital team dedicated to building and supporting tools that help Kiwi companies expand their reach within New Zealand and globally.Before GS1, I was the Chief Executive of IT Professionals NZ, the leading professional body for the tech sector. I also led CIO Studio, where I managed a team of CIOs and digital consultants, driving digital transformation across various industries in New Zealand.
