As a Junior Full Stack Developer with Builderscrack I progressed through project backlogs, implemented new product features and created systems to improve productivity and reliability. I worked alongside an amazing group of engineers, where I contributed to stand ups, code reviews, task planning and collaborated with many other awesome people across the product, support, sales and marketing teams in the business.Highlights from this role: - I created an alerting and monitoring system with Prometheus, Grafana and Ansible. This reduced our application downtime when our hosting provider was performing maintenance by alerting the team quickly to remedy the issue.- I implemented features for switching to a subscription pricing model for the business.- I developed testing infrastructure to speed up the development of unit testing which resulted in larger test coverage of the application and more reliable code.- Finally I investigated different technology solutions for the business, this involved creating a NextJs, Laravel live auction site using websockets to see how our existing technologies could be integrated into a modern framework like the React based NextJs.
