Previously held positions such as Principal Director General of Directorate General of GST Intelligence, Chief Commissioner of Delhi Customs, Additional Director General of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Director General of Anti-Profiteering (GST), Additional Director General at the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics, among others. I hold rich experience in tax investigations & intelligence-related work and have been contributing to study and discussions on contemporary issues at various formal and informal levels. I also headed a committee set up by the CBIC on “Export Promotion and Trade Facilitation” and another committee on “Rationalisation of Penal Provisions under Customs”.I was conferred the Award for Specially Distinguished Record of Service by the President of India in 2004. Besides, I also take keen interest in running and playing badminton and frequently compete in these sports!
